Workshop in Finland

KEP engineers held a workshop in Finland for the representatives of the utility companies servicing the local electricity distribution network.

The practical part of the class was conducted using the mobile cable test and fault location system SWG-12 and route tracing equipment (audio frequency generator LFG-50, tracer PT-14 and multi-functional receiver P-900).

Several field cable fault location methods and techniques were discussed during the event: remote localisation using various modern reflectometry methods, as well fault pinpointing by induction and acoustic methods.
